Friendship
Virtue is at once both the parent and the support of friendship. (Virtue the attainable degree of moral merit ... exemplified in actual practice.
Wealth is pursued for the particular uses to which it is solely applicable; power, in order to receive worship; honours, for the sake of fame; sensual indulgences, on account of the gratifications that attend them; and health, as he means of living exempt from pain and possessing the unobstructed exercise of all our corporeal faculties. Whereas friendship is adapted by its nature to an infinite number of different ends; accommodates itself to all circumstances and situations of human life; and can at no season prove either unfuitable or inconvenient.

Customer missed trash can...
Today at work I was changing out the trash bags in the 3 different trash cans we have. One of the customers who I find to be cute was literally beside me at the condiment bar as I changed out the bags. As she added sugar in the raw to her drink I made the standard small talk just to make her visit a bit more enjoyable than the 'in and out' it always is for her. She is always in a rush and always on the phone. Distracted and not paying attention she threw the sugar in the raw wrapper in the condiment bar hole where there was no trash can to receive it. She, just like any other person, said she was sorry. I responded not to worry. Really because in the grand scheme of things it is no big deal and those types of mishaps very rarely bother me. So as I bent down to pick up the raw sugar wrapper I thought to myself but didn't say it aloud, given that a good friend of mine was in line right there and we had been carrying on up until the customer approached and I knew she would laugh, was I would be so lucky to be able to pick up your trash for the rest of my life!
